There may be nothing more powerful to get you off your procrastinating toadstool than listening to stories of other people’s 50-year slog through life until – bingo – they get it right! While the first step may be negotiating that sabbatical you want or changing careers
, let Jane help you.
Relegated to the last 20 minutes of the 2-hour Today Show broadcast, Jane Pauley has returned to help us get our lives back. Less perky, more serious than I remember and with too much hair, Jane perches next to Meredith Vieira for a monthly segment on “Your Life’s Calling.”
Trouble is she’s only calling you for a story if you are over 50. While that’s not terrible, I think there are many younger people whose are making spectacular strides in getting life right that would be just as inspirational and perhaps more relevant to the younger generation.
Still this Emmy Award-winning journalist’s new assignment as AARP’s “Ambassador of Your Life Calling,” not only has the monthly Today segment but AARP members can join Pauley in a live, hour-long chat at www.aarp.or/jane. An expanded version of each segment is also posted online.
In addition, Pauley begins a new column in the AARP The Magazine, is featured on AARP podcasts, and will make appearances at AARP events throughout the year.
Go, Jane, go.
